Special City Planning Committee Meeting (Open Portion) held on Monday, 20 February 2017 at 3.50 pm in the Lady Osborne Room, Town Hall.

In the absence of a quorum, the Deputy Lord Mayor became an ex-officio member of the committee in accordance with Section 3(A)(2) of the Council’s policy titled Meetings: Procedures and Guidelines.

 

Alderman Cocker was co-opted to the committee.

 

The Deputy Lord Mayor retired from the meeting at 3.52 pm.

 

Alderman Burnet arrived at the meeting at 3.54 pm, and was present for item 2.1.

That Alderman Cocker be co-opted to the committee.

Aldermen are requested to indicate where they may have any pecuniary or conflicts of interest in respect to any matter appearing on the agenda, or any supplementary item to the agenda, which the committee has resolved to deal with.

 

No interest was indicated.

That the recommendation contained in the report of the Environmental & Climate Change Projects Officer and the Director City Planning of 17 February 2017, be adopted.

COMMITTEE RESOLUTION:

That:   1.    The City of Hobart formally advise the World Cities Team of the Council’s interest in participating in the World Cities 2017 Australian initiative.

2.    The draft response to the World Cities questionnaire marked Attachment B to item 2.1 of the Special Open City Planning Committee agenda of  20 February 2017, be endorsed for submission to the European Union to participate in the World Cities initiative.
