Special Community, Culture and Events Committee Meeting (Open Portion) held on Monday, 21 August 2017 at 4.30 pm in the Lady Osborne Room.

A report be prepared considering the feasibility and indicative cost of implementing an accessible-beach trial with an accessible-beach wheelchair and beach matting together with other permanent alternatives located at Nutgrove Beach, Sandy Bay in the summer of 2017/2018. 2. The report should canvas what facilities and opportunities currently exist and the cost of purchasing a wheelchair(s) and matting. 3. In formulating the report, officers should seek the input and experience of key sector groups, including, but not limited to, the Council’s Access Advisory Committee, Tasmanians with Disabilities, Surf Lifesaving Tasmania and other Council’s around the country that have implemented similar programs.
