City Infrastructure Committee Meeting (Open Portion) held on Wednesday, 22 May 2019 at 4:00 pm in the Lady Osborne Room, Town Hall.

Question: Could the Director please provide an update on the Linear Park pedestrian and cycle path and whether traffic lights will be installed at the Molle Street / Collins Street / Linear Park intersection? Answer: The Director City Planning advised that plans have been developed to improve the crossing of Molle Street at the intersection with Collins Street. Discussions are underway with both State Growth and the adjacent property owner to finalise the improved crossing proposal to allow formal consideration by the Council. |

Question: Has the State Government changed the timing of pedestrian crossing lights in the last 12 months? What are the details of these changes? What process does the State Government go through to consult with the Council on these changes? Answer: The Director City Amenity took the question on notice. |

Question: Could the Director please advise if the State Government can provide information about which city intersections have an automatic pedestrian cycle, which ones require the pedestrian to press the button to cross and the roll-out schedule for the countdown pedestrian crossing lights?
Answer: The Director City Amenity took the question on notice. |

The Council accept an invitation from the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) to participate in a national workshop on food service packaging guidelines, scheduled to be held in Sydney on 19 or 20 June 2019, with nominations to be sought from Elected Members at the Council meeting of 3 June 2019 to represent the City. (i) The cost of attendance, beyond any financial assistance provided by the workshop organiser, be funded from the City’s Waste Strategy and Projects Budget Function within the Annual Plan
