The General Manager reports:
“That in accordance with the provisions of Part 2 Regulation 8(6) of the Local Government (Meeting Procedures) Regulations 2015, these supplementary matters are submitted for the consideration of the Committee.
Pursuant to Regulation 8(6), I report that:
(a) information in relation to the matter was provided subsequent to the distribution of the agenda;
(b) the matter is regarded as urgent; and
(c) advice is provided pursuant to Section 65 of the Act.”

Waste Strategy South - Minutes of meeting held 9 July 2019
Attached for information are the Minutes of the latest meeting of Waste Strategy South (WSS), held on 9 July 2019
This group was recently in recess whilst the future of the Southern Tasmanian Councils Authority (STCA) was determined.
With 9 of the 12 southern Councils now committing to the STCA, it was agreed that Waste Strategy South would reconvene.
It is noted that Kingborough, Glenorchy and Clarence Councils, whilst not STCA members, have subsequently decided to opt-in as members of Waste Strategy South.

That the Minutes of the meeting of Waste Strategy South, held on 9 July 2019, as attached to the report, be received and noted.
